"Humble Engagement With a Post-Christian World"

In our increasingly post-Christian world, many Christians are thinking through how to communicate biblical truth with both clarity and compassion. Western Seminary professors Todd Miles and Andrew Pack will be facilitating a conversation with visiting lecturers (and brothers!) Dane and Gavin Ortlund on the topic, "Humble Engagement with a Post-Christian World."

This live event is being presented by Food Trucks in Babylon on the Western Seminary Campus, Tuesday, July 16 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 

All are invited to campus for this free evening, which will include an opportunity for Q&A with Dane and Gavin.

Dane Ortlund

Dane Ortlund (PhD, Wheaton College; MDiv, ThM, Covenant Theological Seminary) serves as Senior Pastor of Naperville Presbyterian Church outside Chicago. A few of his recent books are "Deeper: Real Change for Real Sinners" (Crossway, 2021) and "Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers" (Crossway, 2020).


Gavin Ortlund

Gavin Ortlund (PhD, Fuller Theological Seminary; MDiv, Covenant Theological Seminary) is a pastor, author, speaker, and apologist for the Christian faith. He serves as President of Truth Unites and Theologian-in-Residence at Immanuel Nashville. He is the author of eight books, including "Why God Makes Sense in a World that Doesn’t" (Baker, 2021).


Meet Our Hosts

Todd Miles

Todd Miles, PhD, is Professor of Theology at Western Seminary and also directs the Master of Theology Program. He serves as Pastor of Teaching at Gresham Bible Church and is the author of several books, including "Cannabis and the Christian: What the Bible Says about Marijuana" (B&H Academic, 2021) and "Superheroes Can’t Save You: Epic Examples of Historic Heresies" (B&H Academic, 2018).


Andrew Pack

Andrew Pack, EdD, is Assistant Professor of Christian Formation and Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Western Seminary. He has served in pastoral ministry for over a decade.
